I have been making sock monsters for a little over a year now. It was to prevent insanity that I started making them and I must say that it staved off any complete craziness. These little guys are all hand made out of socks. I got the idea when I needed to find something to do with my insomnia. A friend showed me a book called stupid sock creatures and from that I found the designs for my first sock monsters. As I got more into it, they changed and became mine, I still give props to John Murphy and thank him for the inspiration.

Each is made from sock, buttons, fluff and gumption. I added some beads as teeth, some of which glow in the dark. There are a few places in SF and possibly LA that may be interested in having me supply them with some of these guys but look out in SF at the craft shows (especially the indie-mart).

My etsy shop will have my most recently available monsters listed. Keep in mind that I do custom orders as well and will work within your specifications; color, teeth, size, shape, attitude and eyes.
